In every company there will be a time for reviewing the compensations of employees, but company don't give satisfiable percentage increase in compensation and they will be ready to pay even 100% to hire a new resource from outside if the employee is resigning from the company. The people who are in top management are making money and quitting companies and after that the employees at level 1/2 have to suffer for that with low or minimum hike.
One of my friends is working in a company called logica, he said that they have a performance review process and based on the review rating they will get hike. An employee got a rating 2 and he got a hike of 25%...but for his surprise another employee who was on bench or no project for more than 4 months with a rating of 4 got 30% hike where a person with rating 4 should not get more than 10% hike. Now as per their HR policy no employee can disclose his salary details and so my friend can't discuss with corresponding manager regarding this unfair increase in hike.
So, companies never change in terms of being honest for all employees and do not show any partiality between employees.
Don't be honest to companies who are not honest to you
because we are not dogs to be honest...we are developers who work for money....honesty is proportional to money.
